Save Your LinkedIn Data Before It’s Too Late

LinkedIn DataWhilst, LinkedIn announced back in September that very soon there are going to be some major changes, it looks now that those changes are not only imminent but could have a big impact on your existing data.

Should you be scared?

I remember not so long ago how LinkedIn, without warning, wiped out several years of hard work for us and our clients when we had built-up a high ‘expertise ranking’ through answering questions on LinkedIn when they were removed and eventually replaced with endorsements.

Similarly, I’m sure many of you will recall when recommendations on company pages were wiped out without much notice (April 2014). Luckily we wrote an article at the time and grabbed several years testimonials and placed them here and others did the same to avoid losing that data forever!

Lead your customer to the problem and solution

why giving your customers the solution is not the answer

It can be very frustrating when you know you have a great product that could solve your prospects problems but they just don’t seem to see it! Unfortunately it’s often our fault as Marketers, simply having the solution to a problem is not enough to sell it. Making a prospect understand they have a problem that can be solved with your product is much harder.

In an ideal world where we talk about the Buyers Journey there are 3 stages; Awareness – Consideration – Decision. In reality though before people even get to the Awareness stage you need to be influencing how they think and feel about the problem your product solves. Crafting the perfect messages and Calls-To-Action is all academic if the prospect feels they have no need of your product. Continue reading

There Are Not Enough Hours In The Day | Balance or Burnout

STRICTLY

We’ve all heard the phrase before, ‘Stress Kills.’

As a business owner or a member of a small team in an SME it can be very difficult to ever ‘switch off.’ For many people it feels like there simply aren’t enough hours in a working day 9-6 in the office is enough to get most of your work done. But if a client wants something done by tomorrow you’ll work until 10pm to have it sorted. You never plan to work on the weekend but somehow you’ll find most of Sunday taken up by answering emails, planning for the next week and preparing materials for your next engagement.  Continue reading
